NBT Welcomes Jian Bland as New Director of Community Youth Services
NBT is pleased to share with you that Jian Bland has joined New Brunswick Tomorrow as Director of Community Youth Services! In this most important role, Jian will work closely with us, our 0 to 21 Task Force, volunteers and local stakeholders in understanding and responding to the needs most affecting our city’s youth. Moreover, she will head the School Based Youth Services program, working side-by-side with PRAB management and staff, to deliver mental health counseling and case management in New Brunswick’s schools, our PIC-C program for student parents and the Bobadilla Summer Soccer Academy.
Our goal is to improve life outcomes for all youth, ages 0 to 21, to achieve the highest levels of education, health, employment and self-sufficiency as adults. Jian comes to us from the New Brunswick Education Foundation where she has spent the last two years. There, she worked closely with teachers and administration across the district, including developing the innovative Grant Teachers Fund – a locally sourced grant program that supports educator-led initiatives in the district. We are very excited to have Jian as part of our team! Please join us in welcoming Jian to the NBT family. Together, we look forward to a bright future impacting the young lives in New Brunswick.
