NBT is seeking to add a team member to facilitate and manage health and social initiatives to improve the quality of life in the City of New Brunswick.

Job Title: Associate Director of Health Services

Job Description

New Brunswick Tomorrow (NBT) is seeking an Associate Director dedicated to the management and implementation of health initiatives and related social services brought forth by NBT’s Health Task Force, a collective of health partners to improving the overall health and healthcare services of New Brunswick residents. This position is accountable to and supports the Vice President of Operations for New Brunswick Tomorrow with respects to NBT’s Health initiatives and strategies.

Responsibilities

This position will set out to:

  1. Manage health-related projects, including but not limited to program operations, monitoring progress, collecting data to track efficacy, developing recommendations for continuous improvement, and establishing collaborations for sustainability.
  2. Identify and build strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders that provide supportive services to meet community health needs.
  3. Understand existing health-related services and programs available to city residents while documenting service gaps to inform future strategies.
  4. Oversee NBT’s health communication strategies, including outreach efforts and digital platforms such as Live Well Vivir Bien New Brunswick.
  5. Develop and coordinate health-related activities for the New Brunswick community.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in health, management, or related field
  • Familiarity with the local area and /or focus on the prevalent community health concerns
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills before multiple types of audiences
  • Experience with complex project management and stakeholder management
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in grant writing
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships with a diverse set of high-profile stakeholders
  • Strong experience in program operations and management.
  • Experience with case management and community outreach
  • Experience with health communications including website and social media administration and content creation.
  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish to communicate effectively in community settings.
  • Certified as a Community Health Worker or willing to obtain certification upon hiring
