New Brunswick Tomorrow Hosts Another Vaccine Week

New Brunswick is in a fortunate position of having an impressive 90% first dose vaccination rate of residents 18 and older, despite COVID cases surging across the US.

We achieved this by hosting vaccine clinics, connecting health partners, utilizing our neighborhood outreach team, and disseminating accurate and current COVID-19 information across all our digital platforms.

On the heels of this great news, New Brunswick Tomorrow hopes to keep moving forward to help residents both manage and recover from the effects of the pandemic. Starting Monday, December 13th, New Brunswick Tomorrow’s Live Well- Vivir Bien health communication platform will partner with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Institute for Global Health, Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research, the New Jersey Black Women Physicians Association and others from our Healthier New Brunswick and Healthier Middlesex networks to host another Vaccine Week. This forum provides current information and addresses fears and concerns in the community related to COVID-19 and vaccines. Topics include:

  • COVID-19 boosters; including, why you should get one, who can get one, side effects, and more.
  • Vaccines for children 5-11 and teenagers 12-18,
  • Vaccines for pregnant and postpartum women, and
  • Other topics; such as, new treatments, breakthrough infections, natural immunity, and COVID-19 myths and disinformation.
