Ronald Gonzalez Memorial
On February 12, 2009 Ronald Gonzalez was a passenger on Continental Airlines, Flight 3407, en route to Buffalo, New York. During this Thursday evening, his aircraft went down in Clarence Center, NY. New Brunswick Tomorrow and the New Brunswick community lost a dear friend, colleague and passionate youth advocate.
One of five children, Ron was raised in a gritty housing project in The Bronx. Ron transformed his experiences into a life dedicated to helping others. His childhood provided him with the tools, commitment and desire to change lives. Prior to managing New Brunswick Tomorrow's School-Based Youth Services Program, Ron helped migrant workers find health care and worked to prevent the spread of AIDS.
To ensure that Ronald's tireless work with low-income, at-risk youth continues, NBT has established The Ronald Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to award scholarships to deserving New Brunswick High School graduating seniors. These scholarships will help youth fulfill their educational potential and become productive citizens. Johnson & Johnson shares NBT's vision and initiated our efforts with a $10,000 donation. Join Us!
