New Brunswick Tomorrow (NBT) is pleased to announce that we recently received a $25,000 operating support grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. This funding will help NBT continue our efforts to help the residents of New Brunswick work toward recovery from the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first reached New Brunswick, NBT launched a community response fund that allowed us to meet the most pressing needs of our residents at the time – rental assistance, food insecurity and mental health issues such as isolation, anxiety, depression and grief.

“Having flexible dollars that support NBT operations allows us to be responsive to the greatest needs of our residents,” said Jaymie Santiago, president of NBT. “As we work to recover from the impact the pandemic has had on our families, we continue to adjust our focus as needed. Having the support of Bank of America helps us to continue ‘Moving People Forward.’”

In the coming months, NBT will continue to support our families with programs aimed at helping families remain in their homes, keep food on their tables, and recover from the mental health issues brought on by COVID-19. We also continue working with our health partners to address COVID-19 by disseminating information on COVID prevention, testing, and vaccinations.

NBT will also help stimulate the local economy by providing assistance to local entrepreneurs. Through training and coaching to aspiring and established entrepreneurs, and helping small businesses -- particularly women- and minority-owned businesses -- access resources and capital.

Thank you, Bank of America, for recognizing the need in New Brunswick, and for being a steadfast partner in helping our families stabilize, as we work together to recover from the imact COVID-19 has had on our residents and businesses.
